Andrew Brener

Andrew Brener is a dedicated family law attorney in Charleston, South Carolina, committed to helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging legal matters with compassion and clarity. A Charleston native, Andrew understands the unique needs of Lowcountry families and has built his practice around providing trusted, personalized legal guidance. 

After earning his undergraduate degree from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, Andrew broadened his perspective by working and teaching English in China. He later returned home to attend Charleston School of Law, graduating in 2013. During law school, he was actively involved in student leadership through the Student Bar Association and was a proud member of a legal honors fraternity, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence and ethical practice. 

Since entering the legal field, Andrew has focused exclusively on family law in Charleston, representing clients in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, alimony, and more. His experience includes not only litigating family court cases but also serving as a certified family court mediator and guardian ad litem, roles that have deepened his understanding of how to protect and advocate for the best interests of children and families alike. 

Andrew is an active member of both the Charleston County Bar Association and the South Carolina Bar, and he stays engaged with ongoing developments in family law to better serve his clients. 

When he’s not in the courtroom or at the negotiation table, Andrew enjoys traveling, exploring Charleston’s vibrant restaurant scene, and spending time on the beach with his five-year-old Great Pyrenees, Ollie—who also happens to be a beach lover.
